The OFPSA is a sister organization to the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The organization was established over twenty years ago when physicians’ offices realized the knowledge and experience of facial plastic surgery practices across the country can be the best resource for their practice and staff. The membership is comprised of practice managers, nurses, medical estheticians, surgery coordinators, billing managers, patient coordinators and other personnel who play important roles in their physician’s office. Through the participation of the OFPSA, members are informed and updated on current topics, marketing strategies, management issues, and developing technologies that affect their practice.
The OFPSA fosters education, practice growth and personal enhancement. As an OFPSA member you are part of a tremendous network of practice decision-makers. This unique group is a sounding board, providing each other with real-life feedback on everything products and services that help a practice run more smoothly to strategies for making each patient visit more fulfilling. OFPSA members play a vital role in influencing the trends of aesthetic medicine.
The organization also offers a mentoring program that all Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon offices are encouraged to participate in. Volunteer practices will host staff from OFPSA member practices (at the member or member’s sponsor’s (physician) expense). Members may visit any of the participating offices for a day or more and shadow any office personnel, gather information, receive copies of forms, procedures, protocols, as well as spend time with the physician. This program is initiated by the member and the participating office. To view a list of host practices, click here. To add your practice as a host, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The OFPSA has devised a continuous outreach program that will be rolled out in the next year to ensure that the organization is speaking to its members through various outlets. With the combined methods of quarterly digital magazines, semi-annual direct newsletters and monthly webinars, we want to make sure we are supplying you with ample resources to be on the path towards practice success while staying connected with OFPSA updates.
We welcome member contributions! If you have a topic that you would like to present on or an article that you would like to submit for publication in our magazines or newsletters, we want to hear from you. Taking a personal learning experience and putting a voice to it will be impactful for other members who may be going through the same issues.
Please email email@example.com if you are interested in giving a webinar or contributing an article to an upcoming publication.
